The editor is meant to show the best possible preview of what the user will see, for that reason we use the example and not the name. But I got yout point of view.
Let me give you a little suggestion. If you have a lot of fields then you have to position them in columns or groups.
Show in the panel only the first group hiding all the others fields at once wih the multiple selection of the children window (once click the panel and then look for the tabs in the IDE with the same icon/name. You will fine the fields list, select them and then use the property window to change them all at once). Position the first one of them properly and then select them all and use the contextual menu commands: arrange vertically and align left (and make equal caption and width). You should be able to arrange the whole group quickly. Then you can do again with the others.
