OxyPlot - report graphs

Postby john w » 10 August 2021, 14:55

InDe's use of OxyPlot includes 3 .dlls in the project. (That is if a graph is used in a report.) One of those .dll is in what appears to be an InDe wrapper done by Progamma. In fact its name OxyPlotWrapper.dll

I used Visual Studio - Object browser to see what methods, properties, etc., were available. It looks like there are lots of things. I am wondering given its already in the project how does a person access it?

Any suggestions?

I have to admit this is a bit annoying/frustrating. Instant Developer changes the charting tool in reports to OxyPlot. Then there is not any information I can find that tells you how to use it. That importing of libraries, instantiating PlotModel and Plotview, referencing objects, how to include a Plotview in the report, etc.

The use of the library is transparent, a lot of the graph functions and properties are mapped for all the libraries (if the library supports it).

The graphic types supported by the graph are Lines, Bars/Columns, Pie/Ring, Time Line and XYLine and Scatter.

Thank you for the response, however this ties into the other thread about Google Charts in a book. What are needed is more statistical reports that support, correlation, regression, R2 factors, scatter plots and corresponding trendlines. I can do this in Google Charts on Forms (no way to print a form that I know of) and not in a book. OxyPlot does not support this even in looking at the OxyPlot website.

Can you give me a suggestion for a work around on the print form issue. Our users do not like screen captures, they just want to click and print. If that makes sense.
