Possible Bug

Postby john w » 16 November 2012, 21:11

When I set the web client to enable offline mode some of the window text remains in Italian Its on the menu bar and on several places on the panel frames and headers. When I uncheck this option everything returns to English. I thought you may want to know

I have attached an image so you can see what I am referring to...

Hi John, thank you for your report.
Instant Developer localization process is almost complete (the final date is 12/31/2012), so, before that date, you could see something in the wrong language. Please report it to us if it happens.
The offline mode, however, is mostly used in mobile applications... why do you need it in a desktop one?

The desktop offline solution can be very useful in many cases, so I also planned this one.
For example, for anyone who needs to check or update complex data, so do not manageable on mobile, but is forced to move through in many different situations in which a connection is not guaranteed ...

In general, however, now and again for some time, the web/desktop application allows you to manage large amounts of information, has more processing power and has no limitations in terms of expandability and features, limited on mobile device, such as the ability to create complex prints , use barcode with simplicity and at minimal cost and so on.

So, why not a desktop station, the same web-based, with off-line sync to web-based application... especially if it's limited effort to create it.

Well actually I am still looking at the various functions/settings in In.de. To help get an idea of whats those settings do within In.de, I will change a setting run the app and see if anything is different.

I have a couple of my apps form/panels s laid out. I am using them to test the settings. Anyway when I made that change to offline mode I noticed the language issue and wanted to pass it along. If I run across anything else I will let you know.

I really appreciated Giuseppe's comments. I can see where an offline mode implementation could have added value. He gave me more to think about as I rebuild my app in In.de.

So thanks for the posts.
