Problem upgrading from !6.5 to 18.0

Gaby,

Did you ever hear back on the Firefox incorrect field value issue? Today there have been two posts in the Italian Forum about the same problem. I responded to both and linked those responses to this thread.

I was hoping the InDe 18.0 r7 release made yesterday might have fixed it, but in my testing with the sample app it did not.

No. It has not been fixed. I had emailed Giuseppe a while ago, I then posted the issue in 'Suggestion & Improvements'... no reaction from Inde. Still the same issue with V18 r7. I am stuck in V16.5 and can't move to V18

There is a patch for this. I got and deployed it to a production site yesterday which was having this problem (they only use Firefox). I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post it here, since I don't see any patches posted in the Italian forum. If someone from Pro Gamma says it is ok, then I will attach it to this thread.

You can request it though patch # P000242 (it is a custom3.js modification).

Can someone please from Pro Gamma allow the posting of patch #P000242 so I can move to Ver 18, or yet better include it in the next release.

I just tested my example app posted in this thread with InDe v18.0 r8, and it now works correctly without having to have the patch.

Translated from the Italian Release notes:

Update v18.0 r8
List of corrections contained in the update 18.0 r8 issued on July 31, 2018:
• As of August 1, 2018 Google requires that all new applications published on the Google Play Store have the API target at level 26 or later (the deadline is November 1 for updates to the apps already on the store).
 The API level 26 forces the programmer to request the permissions to use the device's resources (GPS, camera, microphone, etc.) as they are used. and not when the application is installed. Therefore it was necessary to modify the template used by Instant Developer for the generation of the Android package.
• FFX: Due to a Firefox update, the value written in text fields was not captured if a button type field was pressed.
Malfunction relating to the request for assistance 000925-2018, 000941-2018, 000959-2018, 001144-2018, 001197-2018, 001368-2018, 001379-2018, 001383-2018, 001384-2018 and 001488-2018.
